This was a very strange exchange. Matt was only at the property for 20mins. 22 minutes tops. The property is an investment and was in the process of cleaning up after a 5yr tenant. I needed to unclog the tub badly. Matt walked in and walked out 4 minutes later to meet me on the front steps. He basically told me to sell the house altogether. There is black mold in the walls that will cause cancer, the exterior pipe for the water hose was not in code, there code my be possible rust in the pipes and debris which can be costly for me. Matt stated I should renovate the bathroom completely, but think it’s a wasted of time and should just get rid of the property. Luckily, I scheduled 2 plumber appointments. The 2nd one was with Veterans Air. When Matt walked and towards the 2nd plumber, Matt told him it was a waste of time. The bathroom needs to be completely redone and she’s going to have it gutted and sold. Don’t worry about going in. I’m so happy that plumber did not listen to Matt. He did a full inspection and found out it was complete opposite. When he crawled under the home to see that the pipes were PVC, not what Matt stated. He snaked it got the bath tub running out so smoothly. I don’t know why Matt did that, but I was pissed. He didn’t even try.

Oct. 6th a technician arrived at the property to address concerns with a clogged line in tub (as well as toilet not flushable bcs line was clogged). His recommendation was to have a camera evaluation. It was quite pricey ($650.00) but I was comforted by fact that the $ paid would go towards the work required upon completion of camera eval. (If I want to retain them for the recommended work.) Next day Jacob arrived to conduct the camera eval. He then provided a “flat rate” estimate for $4850.00. It was to cover repair to root intrusion in sewer line and a high pressure wash cleaning of the clog in drain line. When I asked for footage of the camera eval., he claimed he didn’t record my evaluation but that even if he had he would not give me a copy of the recording because then I could show competitors the images and hunt a lower price for the service elsewhere. However I am now very uncomfortable with whether or not that service which cost me $650.00 was even done because fine don’t give me a copy of the recording, but at least show me ONE time so I can see for myself the root intrusion or whatever the problem may be. Then did what I should have done BEFORE reaching out to any plumber - went to hardware store and purchased the black bottle of Hair & Grease clog remover, and after use SURPRISE SURPRISE no more backup in the tub and toilet flushes, lines are clear and draining. In my opinion, if you’re sure you need a plumber, don’t call Matt’s Plumbing. Maybe not every technician, but at least the one that arrived at our property, did not present a reliable evaluation and the explanation was one that suits ripping people off.

Even in the extreme heat, these two did a fantastic job! David was so nice and got things back in working order! Would recommend this team anytime!

Everything was excellent but the price was borderline ridiculous 855$ to replace a laundry sink and a faucet the whole job took less then 90 minutes and im not saying the labor should be cheap cause quality of work was excellent 500$ a hour is not cool . Ive used them before and didn't expect this at all we called to question the amount but never heard back

We were very happy with the great communication, quick appointment scheduling, excellent service person, and resolution of a situation in the condo we were renting. Plus, we were very pleasantly surprised when there was no charge for the visit because the service couldn’t be performed (not the fault of either the owner, the renter, nor the plumber).
