I completed a water main repair today in Winter Garden, FL after the homeowner reported low water pressure and a visible leak near the main line. Upon inspection, I found a damaged section of the PVC water main caused by shifting soil. I shut off the water supply, excavated the affected area, and cut out the damaged portion of the pipe. I installed a new PVC pipe section with couplings and secured it with primer and solvent cement. After restoring water flow and pressure, I tested the system for leaks. Everything is now functioning properly, with no further issues.
