The guys who came out were excellent, but the unit is not working. Brand new unit and they want to replace a part in it rather than replace the unit.. If a part in a brand new unit is defective, I think they should replace the entire unit. Who knows what else will be wrong. I am not happy. I went ahead and signed the contract yesterday because I was supposed to have hot water today. I have lots of company coming in on Thursday.
arrived on site to the property and immediately made contact with the homeowners. we did our initial assessment and came up with the best possible plan. we began by shutting down the gas and unplugging the old water heater. we closed the main water and cut the water heater loose from the original piping. at this time we dismounted the water heater from where it was mounted inside of the garage. using a level we anchored the new water heater onto the same wall. we then using pex attached on to feeds and tied in the new water heater. we followed all the manufacturers instructions when installing and ensured it was all done up to Florida code. called navien customer support., spoke with tech as he walked us through the troubleshooting. the call concluded in Navien tech sending out a replacement part for the ignition of the water heater. was not successful in starting the water heater due to a manufacturing issue. reached out to tech joseph and informed him of this issue. Rebuilt waste arm in kitchen
Customer approved estimate to remove existing 40gal water heater and install one new navien 180S2 tankless water heater. Disassembled and removed existing unit and added blocking to the wall then hung new tankless water heater. Re-routed all existing water lines to accommodate new tankless heater. Tested all connections with customer with large amounts of water all is in proper working order at this time no leaks.
