I am writing to express my disappointment in the service of this company from start to finish. I had originally called you for an estimate to repair/replace the spigot. The morning of my appointment, we woke up to a gas leak in our home, which the gas company identified as coming from the gas stove. They shut off our gas and stated we have to call a plumber. Since I already had an appointment with your company, and I know that you have to have a special certification for working with gas, I called your company at 9:20am after you opened and explained my situation. The gentleman, whose name I did not catch, told me that would be no problem and he would put that in the notes for the technician. I took half a day off work and came home to wait for the technician. My window was 1-5pm. At 4:15pm, Alyssa called me to let me know that the technician that was assigned to my job was not “gas certified “. I told her that it would have been nice to know that when I called that morning, for that very reason. She apologized, put me on hold and then came back to say her regional manager said that if I insisted, the tech could come out but he wasn’t certified. I declined and took the reschedule for the following day. My husband was off that morning so he waited since the window was from 9-1. I got a call from Alyssa at 10:20, which I missed and returned about 10 minutes later. She stated that the plumber assigned to me had a plumbing emergency and would not make it out to me. I asked what was more important than a gas leak. She had no response. I explained why I was upset, she put me on hold and came back and said that someone could come out in a window that afternoon from 1-5. I told her we’d have to take the next day because my husband had to go to an appointment. My adult son waited for the technician the next morning at the house and called me when the technician got there. The plumber told me he did not have the appropriate rating to do the gas work. He gave me a quote to get the spigot and the gas line fixed and said they’d have to send a different technician for the gas repair. We hung up and then my son called right back. The plumber spoke to his boss and was told he could do the repair and then the gas company would come back out. I said ok for him to do the work. He then told me he wasn’t doing it then because it was 95 degrees out. He said someone would be out the next day. The following day my husband waited again. A different technician came out and told my husband that he could do the spigot but that no one at Matt’s plumbing was gas certified to do the gas repair. My husband said fine, fix the spigot, which we understood to be so expensive because the guy who originally came out said he would also be repairing the stucco so we just had to paint it. The technician, Angel, did the repair shown it he pictures you sent, but obviously did not repair the stucco and closed the hole up with spray foam. What was that $577??!! For my inconvenience, the stress I endured waiting on the repair that we were told your company could do, and for being lied to, I feel you should discount the cost of the $577. You should re-invoice me for the spigot and shred the check I gave you, also seem in your pictures. I understand that things can get hectic, so I’m presenting this as a way to make it right.
